Literary contest awarded In the footsteps of Cervantes

The Campechuel writer who is a member of the Anci, Humberto Suárez Martínez, won first prizes in the genres of décima, theater and testimony of the literary contest In the Traces of Cervantes, one of the most important literary events currently in the province of Granma. this time in its twenty-third edition.

Suárez Martínez was the top winner with his notebooks Audacia, El unsuccessfulo and Memorable. The creators Rogelio Castro Pérez, with second prize in testimony, and Leonor Nieves Guisado Ramírez, with a mention in story for children and young people, were also awarded for this coastal municipality.

The Manzanilleros Azalia Monserrate Gutiérrez, Abel Antonio García Alarcón and Ernesto Antonio Castro Martín, were the first prizes in the genres of stories for children and young people, poetry and short stories, in that order, while Luis Sánchez Araujo obtained second place in theater.

Medialuneros Isabel Dávila González and Darien Piña Ávila won first and second prizes in the genres of poetry and stories for children and young people, respectively.

The Berto Torres Machado from Pilón was the second prize in tenth, while the jiguanicera Daniela Marian Tasé Alayón, occupied that position in stories, poetry and poetry for children and young people.

The jury of this important event for the confrontation, promotion and recognition of Granma creators analyzed more than forty works in seven genres in which the quality of the texts submitted stands out.
