Will the new frontal system affect Santiago?
According to the forecasts a frontal system will cause precipitation until the night of Thursday, May 9 in the southern regions from the country.
This meteorological event will not be as intense as the one that happened the previous days, nor Nor does it have the potential to move towards the central zone or the Metropolitan region.
In the remainder of this week, in the capital tomorrow Thursday, May 9, minimum temperatures of 6º and maximum temperatures of 19º are expected. Meanwhile, for Friday the thermometers will read 6º at a minimum and 14º at a maximum.

The weather forecast provided by Meteored indicates that the frontal system will affect with rains at regions located between Los Ríos and Magallanes until the night of Thursday, May 9.
In that sense, showers of snow and sleet in the mountainous sectors of the Los Lagos region and of the Aysén region.
Nevertheless, The showers could extend until Saturday, May 11 from the Maule region to the south. Later, on Sunday, cold high pressures are expected in much of the country, which will prevent the passage of more frontal systems.
