We are in a key week for the future of the video game industry. The definitive cancellation of E3 leaves us with a new Summer Game Fest, whose opening ceremony will be on Friday, June 7, starting at 11:00 p.m. Spanish time.
It will also be the starting signal for more events. Nintendo will hold a new Direct (no date), Ubisoft Forward will be on June 10, and of course we will also have the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 (here we leave you the summary of last year’s event).
Microsoft, Bethesda and Activision Blizzard will reveal their next games (as well as expansions, DLC and more news) starting at 7:00 p.m. Spanish time on Sunday, June 9.
First of all, we will discover the news from Xbox and Bethesda, as part of the main showcase. Afterwards, Activision will make the big presentation of Call of Duty Black Ops 6.
Some games we could see at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024? For example, Avowed, Perfect Dark, Fable either Indiana Jones and the Great Circlealthough there are also rumors of big balls like Gears 6 either DOOM: Year Zero.
Microsoft has revealed more information about the June 9 showcase, from the quality of the broadcast until new game details that are part of the event.
Xbox Games Showcase will be “extended” from June 10
Through Xbox Wire, Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 broadcasts will take place at 4K and 60 FPS on YouTubewhile on Twitch the resolution will drop to 1080p.
Of course we can wait subtitles in many languages (Spanish among them)as well as support for people with hearing disabilities.
Although the event will be on Sunday, June 9, they have been confirmed a series of ”transmissions” in podcast format starting Monday, June 10which will extend over the next week.
”Starting Monday, June 10, and continuing throughout the week, the Official Xbox Podcast will air a series of special episodes offering updates and deeper analysis of the titles featured during the Xbox Games Showcase.” says the statement.
Each Xbox studio will make their small presentations in podcast format, in order to reveal additional details about your projects. They can be followed at this link.
We assume this also includes Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Activision Blizzard games, so we certainly won’t be missing information.
