Regarding the treatment for infection by this bacteria, the undersecretary indicated that it is with antibiotics, of which “there is availability.”

“The Institute of Public Health issued an alert a few days ago regarding an increase in the circulation of more aggressive images through Streptococcus pyogenes. It is something that is happening in many parts of the world, in England, it happened in Denmark, it happened in other countries in the world (…) it seems that Covid produced a very important change in the behavior of certain microorganisms”he explained.

“We also reinforced the alert for the clinical teams. Recently, a care protocol has been established for the entire country, for the entire public-private country, so that the teams are on alert,” he added.
