The Cuban singers Eme Alfonso and Wampi have been invited to be part of the Grammy Recording Academy, a space in which they will share with renowned artists and professionals in the sector internationally.

Regarding this event, the singer Eme Alfonso said on her Instagram profile that she is very happy to join the new members of the Academy this year.

“I will do everything possible to contribute my grain of sand to support my culture and artistic community, new music and new generations of artists,” wrote the artist from the renowned musical family made up of her parents Ele Valdés and Carlos Alfonso and her brother X Alfonso.

Eme thanked them precisely, extending his words to “the Grammy Academy for the opportunity to become an active member” and “El Cerrito Record for the previous work that opened all these doors.”

Meanwhile, young Cuban artist Dasiel Mustelier Oruña, known as Wampi, has made his mark with his induction into the Recording Academy’s Class of 2024, also acquiring voting rights for the next edition of the Grammy Awards.

“Proud to be the first deliveryman to enter the Academy and represent my neighborhood, my country and my culture,” Wampi wrote on his Instagram profile.

At just 21 years old, the singer was equally grateful for the invitation, saying that “it is a privilege to be a member of the American Grammys.”

In his case, the reggaeton player was nominated by a countryman, the singer Cimafunk, to whom he also left a message from the social network.

“Thanks to Cimafunk for the nomination and to the entire team for making it possible. “We will soon bring more Cuban music to the American GRAMMYS Awards.”
