The Cuban Minister of Industries, Eloy Alvarez, highlighted this June 17 the relevance of the IV edition of Cubaindustria 2024, whose fundamental objective is to achieve greater complementarity and integration in pursuit of industrial development.
During the opening of the event at the Convention Center – until June 21 – Alvarez explained that on this occasion the activities of the industries are prioritized: chemistry, metalworking, recycling, automatic electronics, as well as packaging and packaging.
The head of the portfolio assured that the meeting will contribute to scientific-technical exchange with an emphasis on encouraging innovation and the application of science based on development.
Together with the identification and strengthening of strategic alliances with suppliers and clients to increase and implement the use of the country’s industrial and productive capacities.
Cubaindustria 2024, he said, will be held in the midst of a complex international context associated with the impacts of the international economic crisis and the intensification of the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States that tries to suffocate the Cuban economy.
When referring to the implementation of the Government’s measures to revive the economy, Alvarez asserted that they constitute a guide for the execution of the transformations that allow the industry the results in its management and contributions to the national economy and industrial sovereignty. .
In Cubaindustria, he continued, 10 scientific conferences will take place that ratify the importance of the application of science and technology and innovation to the industry.
As well as the solution to the main problems of the economy and industry, among them, reducing the imported component of production, increasing sovereignty and ensuring the implementation of the nation’s industrial development projection.
On the other hand, tomorrow an exhibition on the potential and opportunities offered by the Cuban industry will be inaugurated at the Pabexpo fairgrounds in order to identify sustainable, productive and financially business projects that allow the increase of national production.
We are convinced, he stressed, that the industry will advance its management and increase the production of goods and services, exports, and also contribute to national sovereignty.
