With a massive story, made with more than one hundred children at the Providencia school, the Piñera Morel Foundation (FPM) celebrated on Wednesday the Book Day With the official launch of his first collection of children’s books, powerful stories.
The initiative seeks to promote reading from an early age and connect children with some of the most relevant milestones in the recent history of Chile.
The meeting was headed by the President of the FPM, Magdalena Piñerawho during the inauguration said that “we are happy to launch this first collection of powerful stories in Chile, which we prepare with great affection for all children. We want everyone to grow by the hand of reading because we are convinced that reading is power, without a doubt the gateway to all knowledge and the development of critical thinking and creativity.”
Then, he added: “Our country is full of real stories that inspireprecisely with this collection we seek that children know them and spread of a deep love for their country. ”
Magdalena Piñera was accompanied by Mayor of Providencia, Jaime Bellolioand both highlighted the value of reading as a gateway to new knowledge.
Subsequently, the psychopedagogue and expert in storytelling, Verónica Rossel, loved the attendees with a special narrative inspired by one of the stories in the collection.
The powerful stories collection is born from the FPM commitment to a better education for Chile. Each book has been carefully designed to captivate students with visually attractive and deeply significant stories, based on real events that marked our country:
