The 44th Book Fair of Santander and Cantabria, Felisa, to be held June 27 to July 7 in the Porticada Square, will bring together 16 bookstores and 54 authors such as Javier Cercas, John Banville, Mónica Ojeda, Chus Pato, Sami Naïr, Leila Guerriero or Silvia Intxaurrondo.
This Thursday, Felisa 2025’s proposal has been presented, which, under the slogan ‘We read in the square! and concerts in the strip of Felisa’s nights and in the closing.
“The renewed fair model that was released in 2022 was consolidated in this year with an enthusiastic response of publishers and authors of a strong diversity,” explained the fair coordinator, Paco Gómez Nadal, who has highlighted the presence in Santander of the Argentine journalist and writer Leila Guerriero -Premio Zenda of narrative and finalist in the Rodolfo Walsh Award of the Black Week of the Black Week of Gijón, which He will be in charge of opening Felisa-or the Irishman John Banville-prince of Asturias of the letters and Booker Prize.

The mayor of Santander, Gema Equal, has valued what the Fair for the City means. “Felisa’s brand is very good and we thank Associated Libraries of Cantabria (LAC) and all involved the tremendous work behind a fair of this quality with activities for all.”
For her part, the general director of Culture and Heritage of the Government of Cantabria, Eva Guillermina Fernández, has connected “Felisa with her root, happiness, and that contributes culture and literature is irreplaceable.”
Felisa 2025 will also receive in the Porticada Square -reboutized as a place of the floor during those 10 days of high literary intensity- A authors of Infantils such as Margarita del Mazo, Virginia Álvarez or Susanna Isern; to referents of the world of comic and illustration such as Javi de Castro, flavita banana or clear of fruits; Already authors and authors who are generating new audiences such as Luis Mario, Gema Ruiz Palà or Aixa de la Cruz.

Thus, Felisa’s nights will have two tributes: one to Antonio Machado in the flamenco piano of the Mallorcan Antón Cortés and with the collaboration of the Cantabrian actress Patricia Cercas, and another to Ernesto Cardenal in the voice of Inés Fonseca.
In addition, in those nights literature and coexistence will be heard from Quique González accompanied by Toni Brunet, to the Aragonese percussionist and singer Ester Vallejo, to Jaime Velasco Banda, to Salvador Amor, to the weed in band format, to the military group of Copernicus Dream and the proposal of folk Cantabro of Uruna.
The closure of the Fair will be in charge of the Municipal Band of Santander.
Gómez Nadal stressed that 71.4% of Felisa’s budget is dedicated to cultural programming and that the organization, given the public response in the last edition, with 11,600 attending the scheduled events, has expanded the main tent to 250 square meters, with the capacity to host 400 people sitting.
