The Councilor for Social Policies of Siero, María José Fernández, has announced that at the Local Governing Board has approved the new call for scholarships for dining room and school supplies of the 2025-2026 course.
As reported by the City Council in a press release, the scholarships for the acquisition of books or school supplies are intended for students of the second cycle of early childhood education and those of canteens for early childhood education and primary education. These are competitive concurrence aid, and have a game of 121,275 euros, in the case of dining scholarships, and 12,000 euros for the purchase of books and didactic material. The deadline for submitting applications will open “soon.”
The amount of the book scholarship to grant will be variable and will be determined in case, according to budgetary availability and justified by the applicant. In the case of scholarships for the acquisition of school supplies, the granting of the scholarship will grant the applicant the right to financial aid for a maximum amount of 80% of the invoice presented and will never exceed 125 euros retail. In the scholarships for school dining room, the City Council will pay at the school dining room service the import of the scholarship granted, always adjusted to the price by established menu.
