Son and brother of entrepreneurs, the Barcelona Samuel Sala, 29, always wanted to be his own boss. He accumulated experience in companies such as Glovo, Geis or Mariot, always in the personnel selection area. He says that after one of his multiple discussions with his bosses he had a small epiphany. It was at the beginning of 2023. He joined forces with Clemente López, 30. And, together, they decided to found Mainder, a company that simplifies the process to those who seek employment, but also those who need talent. He does it thanks to artificial intelligence and, for the moment, the accounts block. last year they billed 150,000 euros and in the current one they intend to reach 700,000 euros.
“I always had different opinions from those responsible for the companies in which I worked. I believed that things could be done differently and, as I felt trained, I launched myself,” says a newly changed room to live in the Canary Islands, where I enjoy the sun, the sea and the telework. His obsession during his professional career was always to facilitate the selection of personnel on one side and another of the process. In 2022, with newborn Chatgpt, he tried to create agents that automated the descriptions of offers or personnel development plans. That worked, but he believed he could go to more. And after giving him a few laps and meeting López in an entrepreneur forum, Mainder created with the aim of eliminating barriers between those who seek work or offer it.
“What we do is eliminate all interlocutors who make people difficult to have good experiences both to find work and to find talent,” says Sala. “We put everything in a single platform and eliminate what makes no sense,” adds the young businessman, who points out that thanks to artificial intelligence, which stands out all the data included in the system, candidates can raise their information more quickly and easier. And employers seeking talent manage to read them equally in a more agile way. “Without obstacles, we can spend more time to people, which are the important thing,” insists the entrepreneur.
Two years after his birth Mainder has half a hundred customers. Most are personnel selection consultants or temporary work companies. “They were the most direct way to influence the market, because they work with multiple customers,” says Sala. The business model has two legs. On one side, a subscription with prices that vary between 5,000 and 20,000 euros per year according to the number of users and functionalities required. The other is the use by use, which depends on the transactions made by those who hire them. Thanks to these roads, in 2024 the billing reached 150,000 euros, a figure they expect to reach 700,000 euros in 2025.
The start-up today has eight workers, one half dedicated to technological development and the other half to sales. Its main market is today Spain, although they also have a presence in Latin America and Japan. The three objectives towards which they will direct their growth efforts are fair thanks to the 600,000 euros obtained in a recent financing round. It will not be the last. The company plans to launch next year with the aim of exceeding two million euros. “Today we are a company of software But perhaps then we are also one of data. We want to break the market with new products, ”he announces, ambitious, room.
