The first flying car can be much closer than we think. Recently, the American company Alef Aeronautics presented the prototype of his vehicle, baptized as model A. There is only a small detail: the car looks more like a helicopter than to the cars we see in science fiction tapes.
And is that in a video posted by CNBC It is appreciated how Model A rises on an off -road car and lands in front of it. This exhibition has left many questions, but above all it has made it clear that the vehicle behaves like an evolution, that is, an aircraft capable of taking off and landing vertically.
This is Model A, Alef Aeronautics’s flying car
The company’s objective is to turn Model A into a low -speed electric vehicle (LSV). In the United States and Canada, this category has several restrictions, such as its maximum speed must be around 40 km/h. Alef Aeronautic has explained that his vehicle will have a Maximum autonomy of 320 kilometers per earth and 177 kilometers by air.
As the company said in 2023, the car is inclined 90 degrees once the car has reached the expected height. The seats will also rotate to always stay horizontally. Model a has capacity for two people and its design with curved edges reminds more of a spacecraft. Under the body of hide eight propellers, which allow takeoff and flight.
In the most recent presentation, however, Alef Aeronctic did not offer details about the vehicle, nor did he let the press approach this or show the driver to enter or leave the car. Of course, he promised that Model A will begin between the late 2025 and early 2026. He also reported that he already has more than 3,200 orders.

It will not be cheap
After knowing a little about this futuristic vehicle, the doubt arises about its price. On its website, the startup points out that Model will cost around 299,999 dollars (5,884,467 pesos). In comparison, a Tesla Model S costs $ 78,490 and a Ferrari Roma Spider, $ 281,920.
Alef Aeronautics was born in 2015, while the first real -size prototype of the model to which he managed to take off appeared in 2019. The company recently signed agreements with the Pucara Aero Aeronautical parts factory and with the company specialized in MYC aeronautical vehicles production.
Although Model A has caught the attention, it is not the only vehicle in development that seeks to offer users the possibility of moving through the air. In China, for example, the Xpeng Aeroht company devised a vehicle with Evtol included, which unfolds to raise flight and land vertically.
