Two Pettis County agents, in Missouri, were injured on morning after a suspect opened While the agents tried to execute a search warrant in relation to a narcotics investigation.

The incident occurred around 6 am the agents of the Pettis County Sheriff’s office were trying to comply with the order, according to a release issued by the Drug Control and Crimes Division of the Missouri road patrol.

In the confrontation, a suspect, whose identity has not yet been revealed by the authorities, and wounded two of the agents. The state patrol statement indicated that one of the agents responded to the fire, but the suspect was not injured in the exchange.

After the shooting, both injured agents were transferred to local hospitals to receive medical treatment. Fortunately, wounds suffered by agents are not considered potentially mortal.

The road patrol reported that, at the of the publication of the statement, one of the agents was still receiving medical attention in the hospital, while the other had already been discharged.

The suspect involved in the shooting was by the authorities and subsequently admitted to the Pettis County prison.

Research on this incident is ongoing and the authorities have not provided additional details about the identity of the suspect or the specific circumstances that surrounded the shooting.
