With the winter Over the corner, many Argentines care about keeping the home away from the cold without gas or electricity invoices being triggered. But a 100% national invention promises to change the way households are heated: a ecological greenhouse that does not need installation, does not require electrical connection or to the gas network, and works with a renewable and accessible fuel: Ethyl alcohol
It was his son Matías, then tennis professor, who saw the potential: “I realized that these heater could become real home stoves, especially in places where there is no gas or where electricity is not enough,” he told TN.

An ecological and economic solution to the cold
Di Tomaso stoves work with 96%ethyl alcohol, which makes them an ecological, safe and without fossil fuel alternative. In addition, they do not emit toxic gases or need maintenance. “They have a useful life of more than 10 years and do not require installation of any kind. They can use anyone,” says Matías.
Currently, there are two models in the market: one that generates 3,000 kilocalories per hour, ideal for spaces of up to 30 square meters, and another more powerful that reaches 4,000. Consumption is very efficient: a liter of alcohol every four hours in maximum mode. In addition, the burner includes a regulatory lid to adjust the desired amount of heat.

Security and versatility in a single product
One of the most prominent aspects of the invention is your security system. Alcohol is not liquid, but is absorbed in a stone cloth, which avoids spilling before falls. And for greater functionality, some models come with wheels that allow to move the stove easily from one environment to another.
“It can also be used in summer as a garden ornament, and place citronela oil to scare away insects. The burner is removableso it has multiple uses, ”adds Matías.
A solution for all homes
The surprising thing about the phenomenon is that the demand not only comes from rural areas or with poor access to services, but also from high purchasing power sectors. “They write us from all over the country. There are families from humble neighborhoods where natural gas does not reach, and also country clients looking for a more sustainable alternative,” says Matías.
Even many choose to buy only the burner to adapt it to salamanders or household homes, thus avoiding the purchase and transfer of trunks.
What began as a therapeutic recommendation ended up being a family business that does not stop growing. “We never thought we were going to help so many people with something so simple,” says Gabriel. And Matías summarizes it with pride: “With this stove, heating ceases to be a luxury. Heating in winter can also be sustainable.”
