A fire of great proportions affected – this morning – two homes located in the area of Colombia and Ecuador, generating moments of great tension in the neighborhood. Despite the rapid action of firefighters, important material damage were recorded and three people had to receive medical assistance, including a minor.
The home owner was present at the time of the incident. Firefighters arrived at the scene and confirmed a generalized fire, so they immediately began the extinction tasks using the auxiliary winding and the water transported by the unit. Once the focus was controlled, the ventilation, removal and cooling work of the affected areas began.
On the site was also the owner of the Lindera Housing, who suffered burns in both hands and was assisted by SAME personnel. As indicated, oxygen was provided to the man and his transfer was not considered necessary.
-However, minutes later it was learned that his 14 -year -old son was referred to the General Interzonal Hospital of Acute “Dr. Abraham Félix Piñeyro” after presenting pain in the costal area product of smoke inhalation. Meanwhile, a neighbor was also affected when trying to collaborate in the rescue and was assisted in the place for the same reason.
The igneous focus caused the total destruction of one of the homes, which consisted of a living/dining room of 3 by 5 meters, where a table, a furniture, wood braces, a 110 cc motorcycle, a refrigerator and a kitchen, caught fire. The two rooms of the house, of the same dimension, were also consumed, affecting clothes, furniture and a wooden bed. The bathroom, 2 by 3 meters, was also damaged.
Meanwhile, the other property, although it was not completely reached by the flames, suffered the partial destruction of the Living/Dining Machimbre and Dining Machimbre and damage to a bathroom under construction, in addition to generalized smoking throughout the house.
