Other care centers such as the Cardiovid Clinic, Metroalud de Santa Cruz, the Marco Fidel Suárez de Bello Hospital, the Antioquia Clinic in Itagüí, the Rionegro headquarters of the San Vicente Foundation Hospital and the Francisco Valderrama de Turbo Hospital were 100% around 1:00 in the afternoon.
This new congestion appears in the midst of an uncertainty panorama that is not yet dissipated for the hospital network of the department.

For more than a year and a half, according to multiple institutions and control organs, pressure on emergency rooms has increased by the decrease in beds in several entities, problems with the correct use of the service and barriers to access health.
This last variable has been associated with the uncertainty for the health reform and the problems of operation of multiple intervened EPS, which, having delays in the allocation of appointments and the provision of services has pushed many patients to the emergency rooms to consult.
-During the last two months, the two main EPS intervened in the department, Savia Salud and the new EPS, were in the focus of having a bulk accumulated of liabilities and complaints.
Only in the case of the new EPS, which in Antioquia has more than 990,000 affiliated people, the Personería de Medellín warned that it already accumulated more than 2,400 guardianship only in the capital this year, mainly associated with alleged barriers in access to health services.
For this same situation, in the middle of last year the health authorities in Medellín were forced to activate a protocol to counteract the congestion in the emergency rooms, basically devised with the aim of accompanying and expediting the procedures between the EPS and the hospitals, as well as ensuring the availability of priority appointments in the external consultation network.
To know his analysis of the situation on Wednesday the Colombian consulted with the Ministry of Health of Medellín, but from that entity it was indicated that there were no plans to issue a pronouncement at the moment.
In addition to the high congestion of the services, at the beginning of this year the main hospitals of Medellín had also issued an alert for the high level of indebtedness of the EPS with them, which only in the case of the main 19 institutions already ascended to the $ 2.3 billion with cut to February, an amount that put the stability of the system at risk to serve patients.
