After knowing the main plot of the series, àngels Barceló has asked his guest if he believes he gets better about the tragedies in company. And the actor is quite clear that it is the only way to overcome something like this: “We are wrong in these last decades, not to say centuries, because if one takes care of its territory it is safe from everything. We have had too many clear and forceful demonstrations that not even that is not a guarantee. The carelessness by contact with the other, with the neighbor, with the friend of the neighborhood or with that of the community is a great error.
Individualistic society
Mainly because one day you can end up going through that same situation that that person you know is happening: “All this goes beyond sensibilities or being empathic with third people. Strategically it is a mistake because what happens to others is likely to happen to us at some point and we are not waiting for it. The behavior we have with respect to what happens to others, gives us a little the stature of what we can expect.”
-Under their point of view there will be people who are always willing to act in good faith and another that only tries to help you for their own benefit: “There are people who are thinking about all the time how to benefit others and then there are others who only try to make money.” After talking about how to overcome an extreme situation, àngels Barceló reminded him of the mythical ‘We will be better’ that we listen to satiety during the pandemic.
The big problem of cities
Throughout the year 2020 we came to think that pandemic would make us better and that we would begin to think about collective. However, everything returned to normal and we have not changed an apex because we are still equally individualistic that before: “We are a bit naive. For me, the lighthouse was the year 2000. At that time I thought that in 2000 we were going to look inside, that we were going to reflect and that we were going to realize that we are all all brothers and that we could attack each other.”
But it ended up happening just the opposite: “Not only did it happen, but the individualities were accentuated … and that is sad.” But Ricardo Darín reminds us that not everything is bad: “There are also good people. Even with the signs we receive from outside, there are people who cannot with their genius and help. Especially when we move away from the big cities, because in the cities there is a kind of overcrowding that prevents us from seeing the one next to it.”
