This Wednesday, as usual, the film critic Carlos Boyero has come to ‘The Window of Cinema’ of the SER chain to talk about ‘El Eternalauta’, a television miniseries produced by Netflix, based on the original story of Héctor Germán Oesterheld and Francisco Solano López.
More information
The series, recently released and starring Ricardo Darín, tells an alien invasion to Earth, which uses a toxic snowstorm to annihilate most of the population. Given this extraterrestrial attack, in Buenos Aires, a resistance to invasion by a veteran of the Falklands War, a friend of his childhood, and another group of people, is generated.
-“The apocalypse is supposed to cause me tension, but I do not feel it. I have another problem with her. In the initial scene I did not understand anything, until I discovered that it can be put with subtitles. Although I am clumsy for those things, I saw that it could be seen with subtitles,” Boyero said about the sensations that the series has produced and the problem he has had to understand the Argentine accent.
Given this problem that the critic commented, Carles Francino has seconded him, stating that he has also had to resort to the subtitles. “I have seen the first two chapters and I have also had to do it with subtitles,” added the host of the ‘La Ventana’.
Luckily, not everything related to ‘El Eternalauta’ has been negative for the assessment of Boyero. For the journalist, the presence of Darín in the series gives the project more attractive: “It has attractive, I have followed it until the end for a guy called Ricardo Darín, I will see movies many times by the actor. He is credible, he has a great personality, he is an attractive actor.”
“I have the feeling that there is no script, that they are going on the march in each chapter. I would put a 5th. The appeal for me was Darin. Although I do not passionate about anything or fear, every time Ricardo appears I can not stop seeing and listening to him,” Boyero concludes about his personal assessment about ‘The Eternaluta’.
