Through the Venture Client Sofofa Hub program, based on Finnish experience, it seeks to attract the country to various companies with growth potential to implement solutions that solve specific needs of industries such as mining, forestry and energy, among others.
Thanks to strategic alliances with embassies from countries such as Canada, Israel and Australia, and innovation centers in Germany and England, among other countries, more than 300 technologies from 37 countries have been reviewed.
To accelerate innovation cycles and respond to specific needs of partner companies, Sofofa Hub, this associative program, promotes the first International network of technological Scaleups for Chile, which through their projects, seek to solve the challenges of various industries, in areas as diverse as mining, energy, forest, metals and food.
Alan García, executive director of Sofofa Hub, explained that “This Venture Client model, which seeks that the large companies in the country be closely linked to the innovation ecosystem of different countries and accelerate the scaling of technological startups, is based on the Finnish system, but with the necessary adjustments to adapt to local needs. In this way, we already can identify 23 technological challenges and perform 26 tests, for which we have reviewed more than 320 solutions Technological, from 37 countries, with representatives of Asia and North America, among other areas of the world, ”.
To specify this initiative, strategic alliances with embassies from countries such as Canada, Australia and Israel, have become the key, to which other institutions such as the EU Digital Accelerator of Europe and Berlin Innovation Agency of Germany, among others, are added.
“This international and national collaboration has allowed us to relieve Chile within the innovation ecosystem worldwide, facilitating the reception of technological proposals of SCALEUPS from various parts of the world and apply them in Chile so that in the future, initiatives can climb and specify as a solution available for all companies in the country ”, Executive explains.
With the generation of the International Scaleups network for Chile through the Venture Client Sofofa Hub program, companies can solve their challenges with low risk and more agile; manage new technologies from various countries; Increase competitiveness and productivity with long -term alliances and promote technological scaling, with projects that can also be implemented in other organizations.
Alan Garcia highlights that “The collaborative nature of the model allows a solution to generate interest in more than one company, thus constituting a unique platform for commercial scaling in Chile and Latin America, attracting talents from all over the world and accelerating the execution of projects, and being able to specify them.”
