In addition, he assured that Claudia Macero, one of the refugee opponents at the embassy, did not come out recently, as Machado had reported, but on August 20.

However, unlike previous occasions, Cabello did not present more images or videos to support his statementssomething that is usually common in the communicative strategies of Chavismo.
The minister is the first representative of the ruling party to pronounce on this issue, while other key figures of the regime, such as President Nicolás Maduro, the Foreign Minister and the Minister of Defense, are currently in Russia.
-On the other hand, on Tuesday night, Marco Rubio, Secretary of State of the United States, declared that his country had participated in a “rescue operation” to guarantee the departure of opponents, who are now in US territory.

In response to these statements, María Corina Machado described the operation as “impeccable and epic” through a message on social networks. “An impeccable and epic operation for the freedom of five heroes of Venezuela. My recognition and infinite thanks to all who made it possible. We will free each of our 900 imprisoned heroes for this tyranny and 30 million Venezuelans! And with freedom, the irreversible change will come to a Venezuela of prosperity, justice and peace! ”Machado wrote.
The five collaborators who managed to leave the country are Claudia Macero, Magali Meda, Omar González, Humberto Villalobos and Pedro Urruchurtu, who had been accused of conspiring against the Maduro regime.
According to a statement issued by the opposition command with Venezuela, the regime refused until the last moment to grant the safe -conducts requested since March 2024. However, they stressed that the pressure of a persistent citizen movement and international solidarity were decisive to achieve the release of opponents.

The statement also stressed that this action represents a significant step in the struggle for the freedom of political prisoners in Venezuela, which, according to opposition figures, amount to 900 people. The operation has been interpreted as an example of the growing international pressure on Maduro’s government and a reflection of global support towards opposition movements in the country.
It should be noted that, Machado pointed out on Sunday, May 4 to the regime of Nicolás Maduro as the sole responsible for the death of Lindomar Jesús Amaro Bustamante, a young man detained under circumstances questioned after protests against Maduro’s electoral fraud in 2024.
“This is one of the most horrendous crimes that this regime has committed. That nobody doubts it: this death has only one responsible: Maduro “said María Corina Machado in her personal account of X.
