Culiacán, Sinaloa.- A woman and a man were injured after an attack on bullets perpetrated by an armed group this Sunday night while attending a party in the Plutarco Elías Calles neighborhood, at the intersection of Hilario Medina and Free Municipality streets, in front of the Taquería “Paco”, south of Culiacán.
According to neighbors, the aggressors opened fire against a group of people who lived in public roads as part of the celebration.
The victims were identified as Carlos Abel, 47 years old and ex officio Albañil, and Janeth, 24.
Both were transferred to hospitals to receive medical care; Carlos was helped by Red Cross paramedics, while Janeth was carried in a private vehicle by family.
During the attack, an old model truck that was parked also received several bullet impacts.
In the place, percussed caps of long weapons were located and several homes were damaged by projectiles, evidencing the intensity of the attack.
Elements of the Mexican Army remain safeguarding the area, while experts from the Attorney General’s Office will be in charge of the processing of the crime scene.
