The National university of Patagonia San Juan Bosco celebrates the first 10 years of creating the Medicine career at the Comodoro Rivadavia headquarters, through various proposals to promote the Health of the university community and the general public. The activities will take place until tomorrow, April 25, organized by the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Health Sciences.
With this objective, the Ministry of Health of the Municipality of Comodoro Rivadavia, was present at the University building, accompanying the event with a series of free medical care, open to the entire community.
Between 10.00 and 14.00, the Argentine army trailer and the central hall of the UNPSJB, were the spaces chosen for the team of professionals to carry out health controls. They covered from Medical Clinic, Dentistry, Laboratory, Electrocardiograms, as well as nursing and vaccination practices.
These activities will continue until Friday, from 10 am to 14.00 and will be focused on health practices mentioned below:
From Monday 21 to Thursday 24 Attention of General Medicine will be carried out; Control of vital signs; Gynecology (turns will be delivered for Paps); Hemograms
From Tuesday 22 to Thursday 24, attention will cover: Dentistry; Electrocardiograms
From Monday 21 to Friday 25: Vaccines against hepatitis B, double bacterial, tbacellular for pregnant women and COVID-19 will be applied
On Friday 25: HIV tests will be held
Raise awareness about blood donation
Within the framework of the 10 years of the Medicine career, the blood donation campaign is also promoted with the Blood Bank of the Regional Hospital.
This initiative seeks to promote voluntary blood donation, and raise awareness about its importance to save lives
People interested in participating in the blood donation, must approach this Thursday 24, from 08.00 to 11.00, to classroom 204, located on the second floor of the university.
Each of the activities develop an intersectoral community action that reinforces the commitment to access to health and the promotion of healthy habits for all Comodorenses.
