Mendoza City, see. “University students have an important role in state and national society, and the Faculty of Medicine of City Mendoza is fundamental and strategic to improve the health conditions of the regional and country community,” said Martín Aguilar Sánchez, rector of the Veracruz University (UV), when inaugurating an interconnection bridge between buildings in this academic entity of the Orizaba-Córdoba region.

The rector said that his administration works intensely for keeping up with this challenge, and for the Faculty of Medicine to improve conditions and support for his community.

Martín Aguilar mentioned that the country has a great need for doctors, because it faces serious health problems such as the return of tuberculosis, so it is essential to provide options to students to form safely.

“These future professionals will have a strong impact on the region, the country and even internationally,” he said.

Mario Roberto Bernabé Guapillo Vargas, Vicerrector, commented that the creation and improvement of infrastructure works are of great importance for university life.

“The interconnection bridge not only unites two buildings, but the story between the UV and the generous gesture of the Mendoza people, and is the product of the rector’s commitment to meet the needs of this academic entity and promote human rights,” he said.

Gerardo Luna Hernández, in charge of the Directorate of the Faculty of Medicine, said that the inauguration of the Interconnection Bridge is a symbol of the institutional commitment to the safety, accessibility and well -being of those who travel day by day by the place, and are involved with education.

“The work recalls that the path to quality training is built step by step with concrete actions such as this,” he emphasized.
