
With the objective of strengthening its commitment to self -care, prevention and healthy life in the work environment, Puerto Antofagasta celebrates on Monday the 1st Fair of Safety and Health at Work, a day open to the community that is part of the commemoration of World Day of Safety and Health at work, proclaimed by the International labor Organization (ILO).
The fair will take place from 9:00 a.m. in the Plaza del Puerto, and will include informative stands, active pauses, guided tours, surprise awards, an artistic intervention of Nutrirap and free vaccination against influenza, with limited quotas and prior registration by QR code.
From Puerto Antofagasta, they stressed that “this fair represents a specific commitment to the preventive culture and integral well -being of people, addressing occupational safety not only from the regulations, but also from the active promotion of healthy lifestyles and more human and sustainable work spaces.”
-Puerto Antofagasta has promoted various initiatives aimed at strengthening occupational health and safety, both for their direct workers and for companies that operate in the multi -permitted terminal (TMO). The implementation of management systems, vaccination campaigns, emergency brigades formation and continuous risk surveillance are part of a sustained work that puts in the center the protection of people’s lives and well -being.
The Plaza del Puerto is part of the community meeting spaces promoted by Puerto Antofagasta, as well as the Zero Site of Puerto Antofagasta. These spaces have been conceived as points of linking with citizenship, where educational, cultural and awareness activities are carried out. On this occasion, the Fair will allow the topics of health and occupational safety to the entire community, encouraging active participation and open dialogue.
