They seek to cover the high demand for cases in their headquarters in the city of Arequipa.
From now on the population of Arequipa and Peru can have a modern area of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the San Juan de Dios Clinic, whose remodeling and equipment implied an execution period of 8 months and will allow thousands of patients to serve.
In a ceremony held at the facilities of the San Juan de Dios Arequipa Clinic, on Thursday, April 24, the new facilities and equipment of the Area of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation was inaugurated.
The brothers and managers of the San Juan de Dios Hospital, including Brother Erik Castillo Carreño, provincial superior; Brother Félix Acuña, Provincial Counselor Pacific Zone, Brother Angel Carbajal and Brother Henry escapes. Also attended by more than 45 companies and 120 guests who shared the joy of the commissioning of this new infrastructure.
The project consisted of the demolition and reconstruction of the current area of physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as modern equipment in the rehabilitation gym sections, magnetotherapy, cold and hot compresses, combined therapy and high and low power laser.
-“We decided to modernize and expand our service against the high demand we have of patients, since the San Juan de Dios Clinic is a leader at the southern level in physical therapy and rehabilitation, and, in addition, it has experienced professionals in traumatology, neurology, and physical medicine. In this way we are sure that we will continue to generate a positive impact on the process of recovery of our assisted,” said the manager of Clinic San Juan de Dios, Paul Silva.
Case attention
With these renewed facilities and equipment, the San Juan de Dios Clinic will continue to attend cases of rehabilitation in musculoskeletal conditions, pediatric rehabilitation, physiotherapy in neurorrehabilitation, language therapy, among others.
“We are satisfied because we are achieving a considerable improvement in our services, in favor of the rehabilitation of children, older adults, athletes and the general public. COVERAGE
The physical and rehabilitation therapy service, in the first quarter of the year, has served more than 15,000 people, including adults and older adults, and 6,000 children. With the expansion and modernization of the area it is expected to exceed these figures in the coming months.
