Emotional well -being is an essential component in the life of every person. Reaching it does not mean living without difficulties, but learning to face them with balance, consciousness and self -knowledge. In times when the daily rhythm demands more and more, it is key to stop and reflect on how we are, what we need and how we can build a fuller life.
Diana Sosa, Academic Coordinator of the Psychology career of the Piura Campus of the Technological University of Peru (UTP), shares some keys to developing a welfare state that contributes to our personal, relational and emotional growth.
- Authentic connections. Focusing on generating significant relationships with our environment allows us to establish healthy psychosocial ties, identify and choose with which people or groups I want to relate and how to emphasize our ability to control and decision about what I consider adequate and timely for my personal development.
- Achievement experiences. The daily pressures can put a veil that prevents seeing beyond. Sometimes, we fill ourselves with information that negatively affects our mood. Therefore, stopping and reflecting based on our experiences or situations of success and achievement, allows us to identify positive impact elements. In this way, we identify our internal resources with calm and reaffirm personal worth.
- Focus on oneself. It is a priority to make a “stop” in our life to analyze and review our “I”. This implies looking within ourselves and identifying our goals, expectations, desires present and those acts we perform, recognize the roles we fulfill and, above all, what we feel in each of them. Mapear our life in relation to our expectations and our role in society is essential to adopt a human sense that drives psycho -emotional development.
- Good acts. To achieve a state of full welfare, it is essential to project generosity actions before others. You can take a way of goodness giving way to the well -being of others, starting with our family, as projecting values in the circles where we interact strengthens the bonds of fellowship. Words, gestures, the actions we use can be aimed at demonstrating goodness in the face of the various situations we face.
- Attention to our mental health. Taking care of our physical health is of vital importance, the same goes for our mental health. Stop to think about emotional well -being and work at the psychotherapeutic level when I need it, significantly influences our ability to be happy.
“Let us remember that happiness is a state of well -being that we can build on a day -to -day basis, strengthening our relationships and generating positive interactions with others,” says the UTP coordinator.
