Coalition by the Bierzo (CB) has embarked on a campaign that includes the placement of advertising fences by Ponferrada and a collection of signatures on the Internet, through the Change.org platform, to claim the rector of the university of León, Nuria González, the implementation “Without waiting, without stories” and “From the first course”, of the degree of Medicine in the Berciano Campus.
“The Bierzo cannot wait, we do not want them to come with stories,” says the leader of the Berianists and have mayor in Ponferrada, Iván Alonso. CB understands that having the degree of medicine from the first year would put the Bierzo on the map of university teaching to a greater extent and would mean an impulse to research, while a possibility that future doctors develop in the region their professional career, now that there is so much talk of the lack of specialists in the El Bierzo hospital.
The Berianist party thus rejects, again, the implementation of the degree from the third year. The collection of signatures aims to convince the rector that the claim of the degree of medicine from the first course “is a unanimous thought of the Bierzo,” said Alonso, who also understands that “it would be a success for the university” that the studies will begin in Ponferrada. The first three fences will join more advertising supports shortly.
