The Keralty group, matrix of the EPS Sanitas, launched an innovative model based on artificial intelligence (AI) that seeks to transform the health system into the countries where it operates, including Colombia.
As reported by the organization, this project, called K-AI (Keralty Artificial Intelligence), Its objective is to anticipate diseases, customize treatments and optimize medical and administrative processes.
This approach not only responds to the current challenges of the health system, but also seeks to position Sanitas as a leader in the modernization of the sector.
The model combines clinical knowledge with AI algorithms to predict diseases before they manifestcustomize data -based treatments and strengthen clinical decision making.
In addition, the project includes innovative tools such as a centralized clinical knowledge repository, an experimentation laboratory to validate technologies in real contexts and a global health passport that will allow patients to access their medical history from anywhere in the world.
As explained by Joseba Grajales, president of the Keralty group, This strategy seeks to build a more human, efficient and sustainable health model.
The implementation of this digital ecosystem will be gradual and will begin with pilot centers in key countries, including Colombia, the United States, Mexico, Spain and Brazil. In the Colombian case, where EPS Sanitas serves more than 5.7 million affiliates, the deployment of these technologies could have a significant impact on the health system.
As detailed by the Keralty group, These tools are expected to reduce avoidable hospitalizations, improve chronic disease management and optimize the care network when guiding decisions based on patient risk.

In Colombia, the implementation of this model comes at a crucial moment, since the health system faces significant challenges, including debates about structural reform.
The adoption of this type of predictive technologies in a large EPS such as Sanitas could mark a turning point when moving from a reactive approach to a proactive one, aligned with the global data -based medicine trends.
In addition, this strategy is expected to increase user satisfaction by reducing waiting times and customizing medical follow -up.
