Investment reaches $ 135 million and projects more than 6,000 sterilizations at the end of the year.
From Plan A Cerro will travel the new Municipal Mobile Veterinary Clinic that opened on Tuesday, thus giving the operations of sterilizations and sanitary controls of pets.
This is good news for the Buenos Aires community and our family partners, animals, as approximately 1,100 dogs and cats, with or without owners will be sterilized in this mobile clinic. To this are added 5,200 more sterilizations, in different sectors of the commune and with financing from the central government and the municipality.
The operations contemplate 15 daily sterilizations that will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, thus achieving a coverage of 180 monthly sterilizations in different hills of the commune.
The Municipal Mobile Veterinary Clinic contemplated an investment of $ 135 million, through municipal funds and has two surgeons, an assistant veterinarian and an administrative staff.
After inaugurating the clinic, the mayor of Valparaíso, Camila Nieto stressed that: “We are projecting during December to December, more than 6,300 sterilizations, and that, of course, puts us very happy because it allows us that our neighbors can help us with the control of the population, both feline and canina. Not only of the animals that are in their homes and in their courtyards, but also of those animals that are in the street Community we will be able to generate intervention processes such as in the Cerro La Cruz, a joint support between the Directorate of Environment and the neighbors who organized to generate post operative care of the animals, since many times, and in most cases, they are abandoned ”.
For his part, the Director of the Environment, Alejandro Villa stressed that “apart from sterilization, vaccination and cures that our community animals require that this intervention does not make any distinction of any kind, there are all the neighbors called to be able to bring their pets to be treated.”
Finally, the mayor of Jasmine Murillo commented that: “Super important to be seeing how work with the community is managed day by day, the operation. Hopefully it is beneficial during these four years.”
It should be remembered that this initiative is part of the reproductive and sanitary control process of pets, with or without owners, depending on what is specified in the Law of Responsible Pet Tenure.
