The municipal president of Yauhquemehcan, David Vega Terrazas, announced that, in his municipality, he works in favor of animal welfare, so it is already working in a register to know the number of pets in the municipality.
Therefore, he presented to the media that the demarcation has an authorized rule and has sought to become aware, so they are worked closely with the community presidents, so that cases of animal abuse can be detected.
The mayor explained that this issue implies a responsibility, especially for those who have pets, “we are working as a team to avoid abuse against these sensory beings,” he said.
During this work that has been carried out throughout these months in some communities and streets, it has been detected that there is an important number of street dogs, in addition to some homes, the number of dogs than people is greater.
It was clear that society must be responsible and prevent these animals from having the appropriate conditions to live, “we must take into account that from the moment they arrive at home, we have a responsibility,” he said.

Javier Rivera signs agreement with animal welfare to guarantee the protection and dignified treatment of animals
EThe President of Apizaco Javier Rivera Bonilla and the Animal Welfare Coordinator of the government of the State of Tlaxcala, La Mtra. Stefany Pérez Bustamante, They signed a collaboration agreement to guarantee the correct application of the Regulation of Responsible Tenure of Company Animals, as established by the Animal Welfare Law.
This agreement consists in the training and awareness of public officials responsible for attending allegations of animal abuse, to ensure effective and conscious action in favor of animals.
It also includes animal welfare campaigns in the municipality of Apizaco, providing veterinary services at low cost and free, to take care of animals.
Similarly, the population will be aware of the importance of being a responsible tutor, including information on basic care and animal rights.
Also, the implementation of the single registration key of pets (CRUAC), an official document that will prove the tutors of its animals and allow the beginning of the census established by law will be carried out.
“This day marks a firm and committed step towards a more fair and compassionate future for beings who have no voice, but who feel, love, and that are often in a vulnerable situation,” said the mayor.
With the signing of this agreement, the Apizaco government seeks to improve the living conditions of animals in Apizaco.
