About the works on the cargo corridor
It should be remembered that the road had been abandoned after the lawsuit between the Mayor’s Office of Cartagena and the road concession for the old tolls, which were finally dismantled after confirming in 2023 that the internal return rate (IRR) had been reached since 2020.
From then on, a long process began for the road to pass at the hands of the district, but it was only until last year that the contract managed to open the tender that would allow the rehabilitation of the road.
The project includes the rehabilitation of multiple segments of the cargo corridor, with special emphasis on asphalt pavements designed to withstand heavy traffic. Also read: Load corridor: This is the advance of rehabilitation works
