Michael Bolton was, in the 80s and 90s, the king of romantic ballads, sold more than 75 million albums, won two Grammy awards. Another of his songs, When A Man Loves A Womanalso achieved number one in Billboard magazine.

In the conversation with the magazine, Bolton and his family tell how on December 4, 2023 he underwent emergency brain surgery. The singer was diagnosed with a glioblastoma, a type of rare and aggressive brain cancer.

He says that from that he lives in his home in Connecticut, where he has lived for more than 30 years and with his two daughters and six grandchildren.
