Santa Fe, New Mexico – Betsy Arakawa, the pianist who was married to actor Gene Hackman, died of pulmonary syndrome by Hantavirus, according to an autopsy report published this week that indicated that his lungs were heavy and congested.
Arakawa, 65, had accumulation of fluid in the chest and a mild hardening of the vessels that supplied blood to the heart and the body, according to autopsy reports.
Hantavirus is a rare but lethal disease, which is transmitted by excrements of infected rodents.
Arakawa gave Covid-19 and the flu and showed no trauma signs, according to the autopsy report. Its carbon monoxide levels were within the normal range, and gave positive and negative for alcohol and intoxicating drugs.
Autopsy and toxicology reports of Arakawa were published days after similar documents about Hackman’s death were made public, confirming that their main cause of death was a heart disease.
The 95 -year -old actor was also in the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s disease and had probably not eaten for a long time, according to his autopsy. He gave negative for Hantavirus.
Records previously published in the investigation showed that Arakawa made telephone calls and internet searches for information on symptoms similar to flu and breathing techniques.

Before understanding how Hackman and Arakawa died, the authorities recorded interviews with workers and Hackman’s house to seek more evidence. The detectives registered the house in early March in search of the arakawa laptop and other tracks.
