A few days ago the late TVN animator, Felipe Camiroagamarked a milestone on television at 13 years of his death in the tragic accident of the house – 212 when he was heading to the island of Juan Fernández.
In the latest Cadem survey he was chosen as the “best animator in the history of Chile”, surpassing other endearing figures of television such as Don Francisco and Antonio Vodanovic.
Undoubtedly, the television driver was forever in the heart of the public and his family remembers, which on May 15 will hold a collection event for the foundation with the same name that helps children and neurodivergentes.
In conversation with Biobiochile, On Hermano, Daniel Bontempihe talked about the love that Felipe Camiroaga continues to reap more than a decade of his departure: “I believe that the fundamental thing is the true thing he was always, a person of an integrity and transparency that made him be close, because he really showed himself as the real thing was.”
So the recognition of the public through the Cadem survey is a “pride” for his family.
“That 13 years after their departure people remember, recognize it and want it as they want, it is a pride for us that people have chosen, people who today did not even share with him because they were very small, because they did not see him. So that the people of Chile, that the full country recognizes it and wants it so much, it is an unique pride,” said Bontempi.
Felipe Camiroaga, the philanthropist
The animator was known in the world of entertainment and among the public for his great love of animals, especially hawks.
After his death, his family made the decision to maintain his legacy through the Felipe Camiroa Foundation, where his hawks, horses, dogs and even a monite named Rita, are preserved and employed in therapies with neurodivergentes.
But before that, the television driver had a strong bond with the Telethonin which he collaborated for many years in the driving of various segments. Therefore, on numerous occasions the public has theorized that it would have been the perfect replacement of Don Francisco, who has gradually retired from the driving of the solidarity crusade due to his age.
Regarding whether his brother could have occupied that place, Daniel Bontempi said: “He always wanted Telethon, always wanted to help and not surprise me that he would have continued to be part of the Telethon.”.
“I don’t know what role, only he could know, but he clearly loved TV, the Telethon and always wanted to help and share the fate that he knew he had.”
Felipe Camiroaga’s brother also referred to whether his role could become matched on television, before what did not close to the option: “I think so.”
“I believe that Felipe was an incredible person, he is one of those people with the charism and with a presence that are really special, but we are human and there will always be authentic, hardworking, loving, who collaborate and push the country and who love people in a true way, so I hope there are more people who lead the country in the way Felipe did”He added in conversation with Biobiochile.
For the pilot, independent of the channel and gender, there are many valuable people who are going to emanate as leaders, so I would not be surprised if there are very important people in the future of Chile.

After his arrival in Chile in 2000 from the Canary Islands, Spain, Daniel Bontempi went to live with his brother to his home in Colina for at least four years, an instance in which he shared the good and bad of life with the animator, although he clarified that “it was rather introverted in certain things”.
“His main joy was his life project. His family already loved his friends, he had a lot of love for his friends, for the children of his friends. And the pains we all have, some are familiar, work, there are disappointments in life with people and also as there is love, there is disappointment,” he said.
On family ties, something that could be seen as an unresolved fact for the late animator was that he never became a father. However, for his brother, this was somehow resolved.
“In his internal jurisdiction, he had solved it in some way. I did not talk to him, but I think he had solved it and had decisions made that completed him. I believe that he did not miss anything in life”He said.
The Viña Festival and her endearing friend, Karen Doggenweiler
This year, after Mega stayed with the almost exclusive concession of the Viña Festival, Karen Doggenweiler She was chosen to encourage the edition, a dream that she herself admitted that she hoped to specify a long time ago.
Who also went through the musical contest was Felipe Camiroaga. 2009 and 2010 shared the stage with Soledad Onetto, when TVN and Channel 13 had the concession.
Since then, the one who encouraged the public of Fifth Vergara became one of those desires of which it can only be theorized. It was last February that in conversation with Biobiochile, the driver of ‘Nice to meet you’He confessed that he would have liked that.
“With Felipe we formed one of the duplas probably more remembered on television and I always have the most beautiful memories of him, so, of course, it would have been beautiful at the time,” he told our environment.
Given this possibility, Daniel Bontempi, who went along with other members of the Foundation to the debut of Karen Doggenweiler on the most important stage in Chile, said his brother Felipe would have wanted the same.
“I am sure that he would always have considered the festival. The Karen invited us to share with her this year the festival, it was endearing, it was the first time I returned to the festival after Felipe presented it and I loved seeing her, seeing her displacement, affection, the affectionate, the loving, so of course I imagine them. As they always had a chemistry on fantastic television, I imagine that they would have made it incredible together if they had wanted it to”, He concluded.
It is worth remembering that on May 15, artists such as Luis Jara, Américo, Stefan Kramer and several more will meet at the Caupolicán Theater in the Solidarity Crusade to gather funds for the Felipe Camiroa Foundation.
