The documentary collects written files, photographs and audios related to Chilean and Argentine Mapuche prisoners, who were found in Berlin.
With a released entrance they will present for the first time a documentary shock that investigates the testimonies of Mapuche prisoners who survived military and colonization occupations, and that remained hidden for more than a century.
This is the feature film “Implacable Memories” –March Tukulpan In Mapuzugún—, directed by Paula Rodríguez.
Specifically, history delves into the events that occurred during the “pacification of Araucanía” in Chile and the “desert campaign” in Argentina.
Considered the second spoken entirely in Mapuzugún of Chilean cinema, the story has as the protagonist Margarita Canio Llanquinao, a Mapuche academic appeal that reconstructs these dark episodes of history in Latin America.
The film is directed by Paula Rodríguez thanks to the Miradoc premieres program and the support of the Collaborating Cultural Organizations Support Program (PAOCC).
The documentary has already been presented at various international festivals in addition to winning in the Prize for Best Screenplay/ Research at the Chilean Film Festival (Fecich).
The Avant Premiere Free will be held next Tuesday, May 27, at 4:30 p.m. at the Catholic University of Temuco.
To participate in the instance aimed at all audiences, attendees must register previously.
Those who attend will be received with a wine of honor and will be able to meet with the documentary team.
The general premiere in independent cinemas and rooms will be held on Thursday, May 29.
