The president of Asaja of Castilla y León, Donaciano Dujo, showed yesterday, during the Ordinary General Assembly of Asaja Soria, the good perspectives of the field at the moment, that although they predict a good harvest It will be tarnished by “shameful” prices To those who are paying the cereal right now, because they will not compensate for the production costs of the agricultural and livestock sector, which “are very high.” In his opinion, “without good harvest and worthy prices the profitability of farms is null and the sector knows how to work, but they have to accompany time, especially from May, and cereal prices, which are now like those of 40 years ago.”
Dujo recalled that soon the “agricultural summer” begins, and recognized the good harvest prospects, since the rainfall accompanies, so that «The fields, the grass and the fodder present good conditions».

And he warned about negotiations with Mercosur, tariffs with Russia in relation to fertilizers and the possible impact of European budgetary priorities: “We are working regional, national and European so that organizations can face together.”
In relation to the common agrarian policy 2028-2034, Dujo indicated that in the coming months the budget will be known and did not hide that he hopes and wishes a PAC “that ceases to be environmentalist, bureaucratic and absurd as the one we currently have and is more productive, less bureaucratic and more professional, that allows the professionals of the field to exercise their work with freedom and economic stability.”
Finally, the regional president of Asaja was very firm by asserting that “it is essential to provide the new PAC of the necessary budget, and those resources have to go to the field; They cannot go to defense. That everyone is clear that, in reality, there is no better defense for the European Union than to guarantee the food of the population ».
In this regard, he said that he expects the budget to conform to the reality that the field needs and that therefore has the necessary elevation of the current one. «No more issues can be done with the current budget. And that prioritizes professional farmers ». In fact, he said that if the budget is not what we expect agricultural organizations as a whole they will demonstrate in Brussels before the European Parliament ».
