The president of the Balearic Government, Marga Prohens, has lamented death this Sunday by Rafa Rullán, whom he recalled as a “historical” and “pioneer” of the Balearic basketball.
In a message posted on the social network ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), collected by Europa Press, President Marga Prohens has said goodbye to “a historical and pioneer of basketball in the Balearic Islands: Rafa Rullán.”
Rafa Rullán played for 18 seasons at Real Madrid in Basketball and was the first Olympic Balear Basketball medalist in the 70s and 80s, “opening the way to other great players of the islands of the following generations,” said Prohens.
“My condolences to his family and friends and all the Balearic basketball. He descended in peace,” concluded the president of the Government. The FBIB also cries the loss of Rafa Rullán
Also the Basketball Federation of the Balearic Islands (FBIB) has felt the loss of Rafa Rullán. “Today has left us one of the first legends of the Balearic basketball,” he lamented.
For this reason, “the FBIB wants to send its condolences and affection to the family and friends of Rafa Rullán,” he said.
