Jerusalem, May 4 (EFE) .- Israeli minister of defense, Israel Katz, said after the fall of a projectile near Tel Aviv airport that “who hurts us will receive seven damages.”
“Defense Minister Israel Katz, after the launch of the missile from Yemen: ‘Who hurts us, will receive seven damages,” says a brief statement released by the Ministry after the fall of a projectile in the area of Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv.
A projectile, or fragments of him -the army has not confirmed this aspect -fell this Sunday in the Ben Gurion airport area after the alarms sounded by a missile thrown from Yemen, and images of the impact show a column of smoke out of there.
“After the sound of sirens in several areas of Israel, several attempts were made to intercept a missile released from Yemen. A fall in the Ben Gurion airport area was detected. The incident is under investigation,” says the Israeli army in his last statement.
Asked by Efe if the entire projectile or fragments of it fell, an army source reiterated that the incident is under investigation.
The Israeli police reported that it already completed an evaluation of the situation in the place, together with all emergency and rescue agencies.
“After evaluating the situation and according to the review received, he instructed to perform an operational scan and then reopen the aircraft traffic, along with continuing traffic and opening the routes towards the terminal,” he said.
In previous communiqués, the army said that “after the sirens that sounded in several areas of Israel, several attempts were made to intercept a missile released from Yemen”, and added that “reports were received on the fall of a projectile in the center of Israel.” EFE
