In the facilities of the Deliberative Council a group of artisans received yesterday in the morning, from the mayor of the capital city, a commemorative plaque, for the silver weddings of the Paseo de los Artesanos, which was held in the month of February.
The Paseo de los Artesanos has been operating for some years on Urquiza Avenue, next to the “Manuel Belgrano” cultural center.
The president of the institution, Lisandro Aguiar, councilors Gastón Millón, María Galán, Blanca Ontiveros and Nestor Barrios participated in the delivery. The artisans who were were: Luisa Serrano and Víctor Hoyos who work Metal and Flora Párraga, who is pottery in the aforementioned walk.
In this regard, Councilor María Galán, promoter of the initiative, said: “When it was the anniversary, the artisans had asked us for the plaque that remembers that important date, which has its QR code with the names of the 45 artisans who live from culture.”
-Later, the radical mayor added: “We want to continue supporting from the Deliberative Council, and remind them that the doors are open for any institution that needs it.”
For her part, the artisan Luisa Serrano, stressed: “On February 4 we turned 25, the silver weddings, and in the act where the Craft Day was held to entertain us and in turn to celebrate a new anniversary, we had the presence of important authorities of the province, which filled us with joy because we have not done such an important event on the walk.”
He also stressed: “There was a commitment to give us a plaque that he remembers that we are 25 years in the place, which was delivered today and we were here to receive it, we hope that we can soon place it, so all tourists and neighbors see that we are in that place a long time ago.”
In reference to the number of workers in the walk, he commented: “approximately we are 45 artisans what we are active at this time, many of them have already been there, as always available to the people and remind them that there are different items such as metal, wind instruments, ceramics, pottery, fabric, and well, those who want to approach remind you that we do jobs to orders,” he concluded.
