Macron, from kyiv: “Faced with the aggression of Russia, our answer must be joint”
The French president, Emmanuel Macron, has appealed to the unit to respond to Russia’s offensive against Ukraine. “Faced with the aggression of Russia, our response must be joint,” he has written in a message posted in X this Saturday, upon his arrival in kyiv, where he plans to meet with President Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, and the leaders of the United Kingdom, Germany and Poland.
“Back in kyiv, my first thoughts are addressed to the Ukrainian people. For more than three years, you have resisted an admirable courage. For your land. For your freedom. By Europe. The security of our continent is at stake,” Macron said.
-The Gallic President has asked for “a fair and lasting peace”, something for which it is necessary to start “with a high total and unconditional fire.” “That is the proposal we are moving forward with the United States. Ukraine accepted it on March 11. Russia, however, delays it, puts previous conditions, wins time and continues its war of invasion,” he said.
Macron has warned that kyiv’s allies will intensify the pressure against Moscow. “Our unity is our strength. That is also the meaning of this visit: we all want peace!”
The president of French has insisted that the peace agreement must guarantee the security of Ukraine.
