New York (EFE) .- Microsoft announced on Tuesday two new surface devices at a more affordable price-12-inch Pro Surface Pro and the 13-13-Surface Surface of 13-and none includes the company’s magnetic load port Connect of the company, since these devices now can only be loaded through the USB-C ports, thus following the regulations of the European Union (EU).
The change to the load only by USB-C on Surface devices arrives almost eight years after Microsoft was pressed to add those ports to its hardware and implies that the upcoming versions of the Surface Pro and Surface LapTop models will also be sent without the magnetic load port.
Microsoft modifies surface loaders
In addition, Microsoft no longer includes a charger in the box of its last surface devices, in compliance with EU initiatives to reduce electronic waste.
Microsoft is not the only American giant who has had to modify its loaders to meet the regulations of the old continent: in 2023 the Apple Titan released its first phone with a USB-C port, the iPhone 15, and said goodbye to its port light.

With a sale price of $ 799 for Surface Pro and $ 899 for the laptop surface, these models are cheaper than the previous 2024, which had an output price of $ 99.
This is due, in part, that the screens are smaller, with lower resolutions.
However, Microsoft states that these devices are the thinnest and most light to date, in addition to offering the longest battery.
