A new spot of the United States government began to circulate, at least since Tuesday night, in which the Secretary of Internal Security, Kristi Noem, asks migrants to “self -portion” with the CBP Home application to avoid being fined and imprisoned.
Through the YouTube platform, the advertising message bent to Spanish appears Noem, who warns: “The trip is dangerous and in the end we will catch them and send them back.”
“Under the presidency of President (Donald) Trump, more than 100,000 illegal immigrants have been arrested and troops guard our borders.
-“Now illegal immigrants can self -portion to avoid fines and imprisonment using the CBP Home application. The United States will comply with its laws and protect its citizens,” he stressed in the announcement of 30 seconds that appears prior to some YouTube videos.
Since last April, the Trump administration launched a multimillionaire advertising campaign that criminalizes migrants. The ads were even broadcast on open television in Mexico, and took notoriety when they were broadcast during a football match.
After the controversy due to the antimigration campaign, President Claudia Sheinbaum promoted an initiative to reform the telecommunications and broadcasting law, in order to prohibit the dissemination of foreign propaganda in Mexico with discriminatory messages.
