The greatest Venezuelan political force described this event as “one of the most transcendental deeds in the history of mankind.”
He stressed that it was the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, a lighthouse of the struggle that broke the backbone of the third Reich and saved the world of racial extermination, imperialist enslaveization and the cult of death.
On behalf of its President Nicolás Maduro, the National Directorate, his militancy and the heroic Venezuelan people, “we commemorate this date with living memory and historical awareness as an act of ideological and political reaffirmation,” he said.
The PSUV raised the tribute to the heroism of those who, guided by a deep revolutionary conviction and an unprecedented popular organization, defeated the Nazi extermination machinery.
He indicated that from Venezuela, that “it has been the target of a multifaceted aggression by American imperialism and its allies, we reaffirm that the battle of our people is part of that global historical struggle.”
The so -called red awning said that as well as yesterday the partisans, Soviet soldiers, fighters of the red army and anti -fascist forces of Europe and Asia fought with dignity, “today the peoples of the South Global resist new forms of domination that threaten to submerge the world in a new cycle of barbarism.”

Today, the PSUV ratified, we reaffirmed our willingness to continue building a trench of dignity from the south, promoting the internationalist unity, strengthening the historical block of free peoples and raising the red flag of hope in front of the shadows of global neo -fascism.
“Honor and glory to the peoples who defeated fascism! 80 years later, we say strongly: they will not happen!”
