The young delegates of Spain in the United Nations is convened

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, the Institute of (INJUVE) and the Youth Council of Spain (CJE) have opened the call for the young delegates of Spain in the United Nations. This program aims to bring foreign policy closer to youth, involving it as a fundamental agent of cooperation and international relations processes.

What is the young delegates of Spain in the United Nations?

The young delegates of Spain in the United Nations lasts 2 years and has 4 seats. The institutions that collaborate in the agreement will cover the expenses of displacement, accommodation and maintenance of the people selected for the activities held outside the habitual residence, both in territory and outside of Spain.

During the two years of the program, the delegates will participate in pairs in two international meetings a year, depending on their profile and experience. In addition, two face -to -face formations will be convened, with a duration of a maximum week each, in addition to online formations. The objective is to prepare them for international meetings, in addition to offering them in matters such as youth or European policies. Likewise, they will be invited to participate in extraordinary activities that will not be mandatory (such as CJE assemblies and activities of the INJUVE, among others).

What do you need?

    • Possess nationality.
    • Be of legal age and not have turned 30 at the of the publication of the call.
    • Being a degree and having overcome 120 ECTS or having finished it less than two years ago.
    • Accredit an English C1 level according to the common European reference framework.

What profiles are looking for?

    • Training and experience in international relations.
    • Master’s studies or training experiences related to international matters/social and legal sciences or related areas will be valued.
    • Ability to communicate in English, although other languages ​​will be valued.
    • Experience in international volunteer projects, in dialogue embassies with youth, in United Nations models, etc.
    • Experience in young representation organs.
