Prime Video: What the series is about
“world War I (1914-1918) has ended and Wall Street is about to explode. It is a time of changes: women get the right to vote, the radio reaches homes and young people govern the world. Atlantic City, is a spectacular holiday serie.
Halfway between politics and the Gangster Nucky, a young veteran of World War I named Jimmy Darmody emerges. In this context, a contest is assembled to see who governs society, when illegal alcohol offers lucrative opportunities between smugglers and distributors.
-Atlantic City, close to the ocean, becomes an important activity center for rum smuggers, such as Arnold Rothstein, Lucky Luciano and Capone, with whom Nucky did business.
“Boardwalk Empire” is a serie Inspired by parts of the non -fiction book “Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City” by writer Nelson Johnson. Not only explores the fierce power struggles of the time, but also exposes clandestine policy and insatiable appetite for power and profits.
