A colorful artistic show on land and an aerial maneuver by 10 military helicopters (MI-171, MI-17, MI-8) that carried the flags of the Communist party and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and a SU-30MK2 fighter squad and training and combat planes YAK-130 started the first applause of the public.
Then there were the speeches of the secretary general of the Communist Party of Vietnam (PCV), to LAM, of the Tran Ngoc Thcho Division General and the member of the Executive Committee of the Union of Young Communists Ho Chi Minh Minh in the Southern Metropolis Huynh Manh Phuong.
The national Vietnam emblem placed on the symbol of the LAC bird, which represents the will and aspirations of the Vietnamese people, opened the march, followed by a huge portrait of President Ho Chi Minh and by the 50th anniversary symbol of national reunification.
Then, more than fifty blocks paraded on behalf of the Armed Forces, the Police and the popular militias – including the delegations of the armies of China, Laos and Cambodia – as well as of various sectors of society.
Particularly emotional was the presence, aboard seven two -story buses decorated with the colors of the Flag of the National Liberation Front of the South, of more than 300 war veterans and witnesses of the heroic resistance of the Vietnamese people, who received a hot ovation from the presidential gallery.
-According to national television reports, from the early hours of today hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets of Ciudad Ho Chi Minh to witness the parade and join the celebration of the one LAM cataloged as the “brightest milestone in the history of the construction and defense of the homeland.”
In his speech, the secretary general of the PCV emphasized that the victory in the resistance war against the United States to save the country originated thanks to the correct and creative leadership of the party.
The PCV and President Ho Chi Minh led the army and the people to simultaneously carry out two strategic tasks: the socialist revolution in the north and the popular national democratic revolution in the south, resolutely repelting the invaders, he stressed.
The great victory of the spring of 1975 – said – left valuable lessons, both theoretical and practical, for the revolutionary cause of the PCV and the nation, the most important of which, and at the same time decisive factor for the victory, was to maintain the absolute leadership of the party and strengthen its management capacity.
