During this year’s high season, all levels and sectors continue to “increase” the work of information and propaganda to raise the spirit of participation of all social classes and strive to sign around 95,000 commitments, organize 1,400 propaganda sessions and make dozens of reports in the media.

Previously, according to statistics, in 2022, the total central and provincial budget invested and assigned to the districts for fire prevention and control work was 44.3 billion VND, in 2023 it increased to almost 50 billion VND, in 2024 it was 63.6 billion VND.
The large forest owners have also proactively organized the financing and mobilized resources to serve the PCCR work of the unit with an average increase of 50 to 100 million VND/year/unit, such as: for example: the Management Board of the Hong Linh Protective Forest this year organized 4.4 billion VND (an increase of almost 50 million VND compared to 2024); The Huong Khe Protective Forest Board assigned 820 million VND (an increase of 70 million compared to last year); The Board of Directors of the Protective Forests of South Ha Tinh allocated almost 1.1 billion VND (an increase of more than 100 million VND compared to last year) …
Mr. Nguyen NGOC LAM, director of the Forest Protection Management Board of Southern Ha Tinh, declared: «The gradual increase in financing has helped districts, communes and forest owners to carry out the work of the PCCCR in a more effectively and efficient way. This year, our unit has assigned almost 1.1 billion VND to finance 1,200 days of work dedicated to patrolling, control and extinction of forest fires; The purchase of fire equipment (knives, flashlights, blowers, chainsaws, etc.), the construction of fire prevention works (firewalls, sloping vegetation, manufacturing of wall signs, fire warning signs, surveillance towers, etc.), the hiring of guards and many other important tasks. In this way, it contributes to improve the efficacy of the PCCR in the new heat season ».
To protect the green color of the forests during the heat season, Ha tinh rangers have increased their investment and continue to effectively use other resources to buy and equip modern equipment and vehicles for the prevention and control of forest fires. The most remarkable thing is that there are seven camera stations at many “hot” points to help monitor and supervise tens of thousands of hectares of forest with high fire risk with a 10 km visualization range on computers and telephones without having to go to the fire surveillance tower.
During the 2010-2020 period, on average, every year in Ha tinh there were between 15 and 17 forest fires and dozens of fires, and in a year there were 22 forest fires that caused damage to almost 39 hectares of forest (in 2012). In recent years, despite complicated weather and extreme heat, the number of forest fires has decreased and in 2024 there were only 6 forest fires, 19 fire points, causing damage to 3.2 hectares of forest (without the possibility of recovery).
Districts with large forest surfaces and high fire risk also had less forest fires compared to last year. Specifically, in 2024, the Huong district will continue without forest fires and only a fire outbreak; KY ANH DISTRICT: 2 fires caused damage to 2.201 M2 (1 case less); In the district of Huong Khe there were three fires that damaged 1.5 hectares (0.6 hectares less than last year) … This year, the localities are determined not to allow large fires to occur.
