The Islamic Republic of Iran and Venezuela seek to expand cooperation in nuclear technology in that context, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (OAS), Mohamad Eslami, welcomed the Deputy minister of Sciences of Venezuela, Alberto Quintero, and the delegation that accompanies him, in his visit to Tehran.
“Venezuela is a country with great potential. The Venezuelan people are interested in the fate of their country and I hope that these meetings are effective in strengthening relations between the two countries,” said Eslami.
By highlighting the development of bilateral cooperation and the increase in the rhythm of the progress of joint projects, ESAMI has indicated that the development of technological cooperation is a very important measure that must be continued. “We believe that this cooperation is a valuable opportunity for both parties,” he said.
“Today we attend the ambitious behavior of the hegemonic and arrogant system to dominate the resources of the countries. (…) The arrogant regime does not want other countries to progress in several fields,” said Eslami.
Next, he stressed that the level of independence of Iran is such that not pleasing to arrogant empires, and therefore, they are hindering the development and progress of the Persian country with various pretexts. “Of course, we advance with authority,” he said.
The need to use Iran experiences to neutralize sanctions
In this sense, Quintero has indicated that “Venezuela has 200 years of history on the way to independence. The question of independence is not limited to the energy sector, but also includes other areas such as industry, health, agriculture and food. Therefore, we are willing to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran so that we can also achieve independence in these areas.”
Praising the progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran despite the sanctions, the Venezuelan vice minister has expressed that Caracas wants to learn from Iran’s experiences in converting sanctions into opportunities and using them for the country’s progress.
“Fortunately, in recent years we have established good cooperation, and with your help we were able to start the Department of Nuclear Physics at the University of Venezuela. At the Center for Scientific Research in Venezuela we are also trying to launch masters and doctorates in this field,” said Quintero.
The Vice Minister of Venezuelan sciences during his stay in Tehran has visited the Center for Technology and Innovation Rasa, the exhibition of the latest achievements of the Iranian nuclear industry, the Tehran research reactor complex, the Institutes for Research of Reactors and Nuclear and Physical Safety and accelerators, and met and discussed with a group of senior directors of the nuclear industry on the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
