Israel plans to expand the fighting in the Gaza Strip, according to the national press. But there would also be changes regarding the sending of humanitarian aid. The Israel government Cabinet approved on Sunday night (4.05.2025) expand its operations in the Gaza Strip, as well as a scheme with which to resume the access of humanitarian aid that blocked completely since last March 2, the national press reported.
According to the Israel Hayom newspaper, the strategy is focused on gradually increasing military pressure on the enclave, which since October 2023 has already claimed the lives of more than 52,200 people, to press Hamas to accept a high fire.
In addition, the Cabinet approved a scheme with which to resume humanitarian aid to Gaza, which Israel blocked since March and approached its population more and more to famine, which seeks to prevent Hamas from having access to the subject that enters the strip, according to the newspaper and Average Ahronot.
The Israeli security cabinet, however, insisted that “there are currently enough food” in the Palestinian territory, an Israeli political source told AFP on Monday.
The Cabinet “approved by a large majority the possibility of a humanitarian distribution, if necessary, to prevent Hamas from being controlled by supplies and destroying their government capacity. During the discussion of the cabinet, it was mentioned that there are currently enough foods in Gaza,” the source added.
