The first Monday of the month of May will not start with the expected good spring time, not at least in all areas of Spain. It is being a very rainy spring and thus will continue this week, with the entrance of an Atlantic front that will sweep the peninsula on Monday.
In fact, the State Meteorology Agency Active Notices among seven different communities for storms or coastal phenomena, including Andalusia. That is, the week will start with rains in much of the country and that they will even go worse as the week progresses, due to the arrival of a storm that will approach the west of the Peninsula in the final stretch of the week.
The Community of Madrid, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia and the Valencian Community will activate alerts from midday for the storm forecast, while Andalusia and Galicia will do the same for coastal phenomena. The approximation and entrance of a new Atlantic Front is expected through the north, with abundant cloudiness and probable rainfall extending south in much of the territory.
Will the rains arrive in Malaga?
In the case of Andalusia, the heavens will be cloudy on Monday with rainfall in general, more probable and intense in the Betic Sierras, and unlikely in the Mediterranean aspect. In Malaga although there may be partially cloudy skies, rainfall is not expected and the maximum of the community will be registered, with 26 degrees.
Of course, as the week progresses those rains can reach the province of Malaga, especially on Wednesday and Thursday. For this Monday in Andalusia, the State Meteorology Agency has activated yellow notices for winds of intensity and waves on the Tropical Costa of Granada and the Poniente and the Coast of Almería Capital.
