As every first Monday in May, the stairs of the New York Metropolitan Museum saw the greatest names of the show parade.
The occasion: the Met Gala, the brand new event that inaugurates the annual exhibition of the Museum Institute of the Museum and which has been an unparalleled showcase for decades for decades.
This year, the gala celebrated tailoring, African -American fashion and dandism. Was inspired by the book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity (“Fashion slaves: black dandism and style of the identity of the black diaspora”), by Professor Monica L. Miller.
Among the assistant celebrities were Bad Bunny, Madonna, Kim Kardashian, Shakira, Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa and Simone Biles.
It was a gala in which the wide wing hats, white and black, vertical stripes and blazers.
The night coanfitations were, for the first time, four black men: the rapper at $ Ap Rocky, Formula 1 Corredor Lewis Hamilton, actor Colman Domingo and the singer and designer Pharrell Williams.
These were some of the looks that left the most important night of the year for the fashion industry.
